We now service advanced technology air conditioning systems with 1234yf refrigerant. As of 2021, new car manufacturing shifted to r-1234yf to lessen the environmental damage from leaking refrigerant at the direction of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This new refrigerant is a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) air conditioning refrigerant and requires an equipment change to service vehicles with this type of refrigerant. We have purchased a recover, recycle, and recharge Robinair AC 1234-9 machine to accomplish this task. The older 134a refrigerant systems are not compatible with the new refrigerant and both types of systems will need to be serviced until the older vehicles are phased out. Van Handel Automotive has invested in the equipment needed for this new technology and our service team will also continue to service vehicles with the older refrigerant. We are here for all your air conditioning needs. If you have lost your cool with your vehicle, give us a call and we will have your perspiration under control in no time!
